Where do the tours depart from?
Tours depart from Puno and include pickup at central hotels. Pickup outside central Puno is quoted separately.
How high is Taquile Island?
The island is around 3,950 metres above sea level. We recommend acclimatizing first and walking at a measured pace.
Are the tours shared or private?
We offer both. The Signature Hike is exclusively private.
Which languages are available?
Services are offered in English and Spanish.
Is lunch included?
Lunch is optional at S/25 per person. The family or restaurant can vary under Taquile’s community rotation.
How is a booking confirmed?
We first confirm availability, final price, boat and inclusions. Payment instructions follow after that confirmation.
Which payment methods are accepted?
PayPal, bank transfer, card and AstroPay, according to the instructions sent with your booking confirmation.
What should I bring?
ID, warm layers, rain protection, hat, sunscreen, water, shoes with good grip and some Peruvian soles.
